Accuracy

We would rather publish later than publish something wrong. Facts about competitions, rules and history are checked against official competition sources and reliable references, which are listed on each article.

Source checking

  • Official sources โ€” competition organisers, governing bodies and clubs โ€” come first.
  • Claims from a single unofficial source are not published as fact.
  • Transfer rumours, team news and quotes are published only when confirmed or clearly attributed.

News and analysis are different

News reports verifiable facts. Analysis interprets them, shows its reasoning and is labelled as analysis. Neither is presented as a prediction or as betting advice, and we do not publish proprietary forecasts.

Sports data accuracy

  • Scores, fixtures, standings and match statistics are published only from a verified football data source, which will be named.
  • Until a source is connected, pages show a clear status instead of example data.
  • Kick-off times are shown in Malaysia Time (MYT, UTC+8).
  • Illustrations use generic labels (such as HOME and AWAY) and never depict real scores.

Updates

Articles show a published date and a last-updated date. Evergreen guides are reviewed when rules or formats change โ€” for example when a competition changes its format.

Corrections

Errors are corrected openly under the corrections policy.

Commercial link transparency

This site links to the official Score8 platform through clearly labelled buttons in the header, footer and dedicated panels. These links do not influence football coverage, and they do not appear inside news or analysis text.

Authorship

Content is written and reviewed by the Score8 Football editorial team. We do not attribute articles to named individuals or claim credentials that have not been verified.
